First Aid Course for Paragliders - Impressions

Organized by our paragliding club together with Alain Zoller and the REGA , these are fragments of a new course targeted at paragliders. Unfortunately we have a higher risk than others to be confronted with an emergency situation. This course focused on what we can do to help in the first 20 minutes (i.e. before the paramedics arrive). It turns out this is mostly chest compressions (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardiopulmonary_resuscitation). We ended with a short course in how the REGA works and got to call in a helicopter. Impressive when it lands just 15 m away from you.
